Welcome to Sunshine Paddle Adventures! We're thrilled to have you join us for a magical glowing kayak experience on the Brazos River in Waco, TX. Here’s everything you need to know to make your adventure as awesome as possible!
1. What time do the tours start?
Our glowing kayak tours kick off two nights a week, on Fridays and Saturdays, with the first adventure, our signature Sunset Tour, beginning at 7:00 PM and our Moonshine Tour beginning at 8:30 PM. Each tour lasts about 75 minutes, giving you plenty of time to soak in the glow and wonder of the river. Arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get ready to paddle into the sunset!
2. What’s the weight limit for the kayaks?
Our kayaks are designed to accommodate paddlers up to 250 pounds each. If you’re unsure or have specific needs, give us a shout before booking so we can make sure you’re set for a fantastic ride!
3. Are there any age restrictions?
Yes, we welcome adventurers aged 8 and up on our Sunset Tour! If you’re 8-17, you’ll need an adult sidekick. For our littlest explorers or special requests, just reach out and we’ll figure out how to make your experience sparkle! Moonshine Tour is strictly 18+.

5. What should I wear and bring?
Dress for adventure! Wear comfy, moisture-wicking clothes and closed-toe shoes or sandals with straps. If it’s a bit chilly, throw on a light jacket. Don’t forget your camera to capture the glow-tastic moments! We’ve got the glow sticks, life jackets, and paddles covered.
6. Do I need kayaking experience?
Not at all! Our tours are perfect for paddlers of all levels. Whether you’re a newbie or a pro, our guides will give you a quick and easy rundown before you hit the water. You’ll be paddling like a pro in no time!
7. What’s your cancellation policy?
Change of plans? No problem! Cancel at least 24 hours before your tour for a full refund. If you cancel within 24 hours, there’s a 50% charge. If we need to cancel due to weather or other issues, we’ll offer a reschedule or a full refund. We’ve got your back!
8. Are the tours weather-dependent?
We sure are! Safety first means that tours might be rescheduled if we’re facing thunderstorms, high winds, or heavy rain. We’ll keep you in the loop and help you find a new time to paddle if needed.

10. Do you offer private or group tours?
Absolutely! Whether you’re planning a birthday bash, team-building event, or just a fun gathering, we can arrange private tours and group bookings. Contact us to customize your glow-tastic experience!
11. What safety measures do you have in place?
Your safety is our priority! We provide life jackets, appropriate lighting, and have guides who are CPR and First Aid certified. Plus, we’ll go over all safety tips before you launch, so you can paddle with peace of mind.
12. Are restrooms available?
Yep! Our base camp has restroom facilities for your convenience.
13. Can I bring my own food and drinks?
You’re welcome to bring beverages and snacks. BYOB over 21. Please make sure everything is packed securely and taken with you when you leave. Safety and cleanliness go hand in hand!
14. What if I’m running late?
We’ll do our best to get you on the next available tour if you’re late, but to make sure you get the full experience, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early. Let’s make sure you don’t miss out on any of the glow!
